Noncitizen Camera was an 18-month filmmaking mentorship programme for asylum seekers, refugees and undocumented migrants in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Once per month we met in a large group to learn about a different element of filmmaking and to share and discuss our work. Between meetings, participants could borrow filmmaking equipment and edit suites free of charge in order to develop their projects. Participants were encouraged to back up their raw footage and upload their finished films to our digital archive, Noncitizen Archive.
Noncitizen Camera ended in June 2020. The project ended with an online film festival, a recording of which you can find on our Facebook page.
Noncitizen Camera was supported by Postkodsstiftelsen / The Swedish Postkod Lottery Foundation.
