January 17th, 2017: a film screening and discussion about dignity, ethics and aesthetics. With reference to the Syrian Film Collective Abounaddara's method to depict the life of the ordinary citizen in a situation of war, media experts and decision makers will discuss ways of representing vulnerability and, at the same time, respect everyone’s right to dignity.


The panel consisted of Charif Kiwan, spokesperson for Abounaddara, Hans Corell, UN-diplomat, Anna Serner, CEO for the Swedish Film Institute, Björn Wiman, Culture Editor at Dagens Nyheter, Malin Wahlberg, Professor in Cinema Studies at Stockholm University, Ingrid Thörnqvist, Head of Foreign News at Sweden’s Television.


The panel discussion was moderated by Lars Mogensen, journalist at Swedish Radio.
